Galway Architectural & Interior Photographer —

Edel Fitzpatrick

I feel very lucky to the job that I do — when I'm standing inside a beautifully designed interior or framing up a stunning architectural space, it doesn't feel like work. It feels like exactly where I'm supposed to be. My journey here wasn't a straight line. I studied design at NCAD, spent twenty years building a career in hospitality, and then — like so many of us — the pandemic hit pause on everything. For me, that pause turned into a turning point. I picked up my camera, went back to college & leaned back into my love of design, and set up my photography business. I haven't looked back since.

That blend of design education and two decades of real-world industry experience shapes everything I do. I don't just photograph spaces — I understand them. I work with businesses in construction, architecture, real estate, interior design, and hospitality across Galway & Ireland bringing a considered, design-led eye to every project. Clients describe working with me as effortless — they say I'm thorough, organised, and highly efficient, from the first conversation right through to delivery. No stress, no chasing, just great results. Whether it's clean architectural lines, atmospheric interiors, or dynamic drone imagery of a construction site, my goal is always the same — to make your work look its absolute best.

I'm fully insured and a certified IAA drone operator, so whatever the project, you're in safe hands.

FAQ

1. How does it all work?

If you require your project to be photographed, just get in touch. You can text, phone, email or DM me. We have a brief chat about your project, what you want from the shoot and when you want it to happen. Usually, if the building is occupied, you get permission from your client and you pass on their contact details to me and I take it from there. I arrange everything else, I book the date and time, I go and do the shoot, I edit the images and return them to you. I aim to make the whole process as easy as it can possibly be for you.

2. How much do you charge?

That depends on what you require. My rates & packages are listed above, this will give you an idea of my rates. Every project is different, and every client requires different things from a shoot, so everything can be tailored to your needs. I almost always can give you a clear indication of what the shoot will cost before I start, with no hidden costs or surprises at the end.

3. How long will it take to receive my photographs?

I aim to deliver finished photographs to most clients within 5 days. This can vary sometimes depending on busy periods, but if your project is urgent, I will endeavour to accommodate you.

4. Can I give the photographs to other suppliers or tradespeople that may have worked on the same project?

In short, no! When you hire me to photograph your project, the images that you receive are licensed for you only, unless agreed otherwise before the shoot. You can use them wherever you like, on your website, on social media, on signage, in magazines, for award submissions etc, but if someone else wants to use them, they must purchase the photos from me separately.

5. Should I credit you when I use the images on socials, website or if published?

It would be greatly appreciated if you could do this please. It is very important that photographers are credited for their work, it helps other businesses know about the photographers work and in my opinion, it is simple good manners to do so. If you are sharing on social media, it is hugely helpful to credit the photographer. If the images are used on a website, one credit at the end of the website is sufficient. If the images are published in a magazine, I would expect the editor to credit me as the photographer.

It is not a legal requirement but it's always very welcome to see your name credited for the work you produce.
